International Confex 2007 will be the biggest and best yet following considerable investment and a number of new initiatives designed to improve the visitor experience, increase visitor numbers and develop the show for the future making it a must attend ‘event’ rather than just another exhibition.

Many of the planned initiatives are a direct result of the qualitative visitor and exhibitor research undertaken during the summer. The research showed that visitors wanted to feel more ‘inspired’ by the show.

As a result a whole new creative has been developed. The new creative will be used in advertising and will be continued throughout the show in how it is dressed giving Confex a ‘contemporary’ and ‘sophisticated’ look to inspire and excite.

Duncan Reid, Confex Event Director said: “Confex is the events industry’s biggest trade show in the UK, the new re-brand has given Confex a fresh feel and new look; we want people to be inspired and wowed by Confex 2007 and are keen to excite our loyal visitors as well as attract new and younger visitors.

As part of the new look Confex there will also be a number of exciting features and feature areas. There will be a variety of bars available for visitors to enjoy and take time out of the hustle and bustle of the show room floor. This will also be a great opportunity for networking between visitors and exhibitors. The variety of bars will include; the Blue & Green Bar sponsored by Early Action Group, the London Bar hosted by ISES and Visit London, the Oyster and Champagne Bar sponsored by Montblanc and the VIP Lounge which is sponsored by De Vere.

The Secret Garden will be an exciting spa area which visitors will find hard to leave! They will be able to relax and enjoy a variety of massages and other spa features. But if visitors are looking for a bit more excitement then the Fun Zone, part of the Corporate Hospitality and Parties section, will include a variety of distractions to play on.

For those visitors that have children, the ‘Crafty Arty Little Gems’ zone will be the first creche of its kind to be held at an event as big as Confex. Confex takes place during the February half term so this is a great way to support working parents, allowing them to visit Confex and also enjoy time spent in London with the children.

Another feature will be Confex Knowledge. This is an exciting new programme including over 40 free seminars taking place at the show. Seminars taking place at Confex will also be available via download and Podcast, allowing show visitors to re-cap after a seminar or view sessions which clashed.

Additional new features include The London Area and the Corporate Travel Area both offering meeting and event ideas. Between 5pm and 7pm there will ‘Confex Connections’ networking events on the show floor.

Another exciting initiative will be ‘The Perfect Event,’ a familiarisation trip in conjunction with Visit Denmark. Here corporate buyers will be able to find out how to run “The Perfect Event” in cities such as Copenhagen & Malmo in a comprehensive seminar, and a lucky few will get the opportunity to experience it first hand.

Finally if all that wasn’t enough already, there will be a ‘Celebrity Day’ on the last day where visitors will made to feel like celebs and might even get the chance to spot a few.
