Fly.com, the flight comparison engine, announced that it saw a record 5 million flight searches in July, an increase of 46 percent from the same period last year. The news comes as Fly.com unveils a new look and feel, intended to further simplify the flight comparison experience.

Fly.com’s new homepage gives users a positive, fun feeling of sitting in the cockpit of a commercial airliner. As users search for their airfare, logos of airlines and online travel agents such as Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline and lastminute.com are displayed through an airline window, until a comprehensive view of prices and itineraries is displayed.
Fly.com users are also provided with up-to-date checked-baggage fees, now a substantial additional cost for most travelers and an important purchase consideration. In the United States, Fly.com also displays a Fare Calendar for hundreds of top routes, allowing users to quickly find the lowest price across a wide range of dates on multiple airlines.
