Fraport AG Also Acquires Sanofi Aventis property near Frankfurt Airport

Fraport AG has acquired 17 hectares of land northwest of Frankfurt Airport (FRA) from Sanofi Aventis, already approved for commercial development. This is the remaining portion of the so-called Monchhof area. The deal comes on the heels of Fraport`s purchase last autumn of the adjacent former Caltex refinery site from Caltex Deutschland GmbH.

Because Sanofi Aventis wanted to sell all of its land property here at once, Fraport decided to buy a further 103 hectares adjoining the Caltex site. In the communal district of Egelsbach south of FRA, Fraport also bought about 35 hectares of land from Sanofi Aventis.

Prof. Manfred Scholch, Fraport AG`s executive board vice-chairman, explained that this latest land acquisition will allow for even more successful development and marketing of the Monchhof property from a single source. In developing this new project, Fraport will draw on its extensive experience gained at FRA`s CargoCity South and will cooperate closely with the communities of Kelsterbach and Raunheim.
