Bringing together one of the world's largest travel companies and an award-winning car rental brand.

MUNICH and BELLEVUE, WASH. – Sixt, one of the leading international mobility service providers, signed its first global partnership with Expedia, Inc. one of the world’s largest travel companies. The agreement provides Expedia, Hotwire and CarRentals.com customers direct access to Sixt’s premium rental fleet at more than 2,000 locations across more than 100 countries.

The multi-year, global agreement with Sixt establishes Expedia, Inc. as a key partner in Sixt’s expansion plans. Specifically, Sixt plans to extend its presence in the United States – the world’s largest car rental market – by opening both owned and franchised locations across the country.

“We are so pleased for the opportunity to expand our car rental offering through our long-term agreement with Sixt,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, President and Chief Executive Officer, Expedia, Inc. “In partnering with Sixt, we can better serve our customers across the globe with a large premium car rental fleet and great service – a winning combination,” added Khosrowshahi.

Erich Sixt, Chief Executive Officer, Sixt SE added, “With Expedia, Inc., we are very pleased to have found a partner who corresponds perfectly to our ambitious growth plans, particularly in the United States. The cooperation with one of the world`s most important travel companies enables us to better address a wide range of travelers worldwide. Additionally, customers on Expedia, CarRentals.com and Hotwire can benefit from very attractive premium mobility services.”
