Ski and Summer Morzine launches Footprint Holidays

Ski and Summer Morzine is capitalizing on its success in and knowledge of the French activity market with the launch of a new product range under the banner Footprint Holidays. The company will offer walking and cycling breaks in spring and autumn, expanding its market to reach younger holidaymakers who might not have previously considered France as a destination for an activity holiday, as well as catering for the traditional, older, British Francophile holiday-maker.

While many travel companies are reducing capacity, Paul Sugg, MD of the Ski and Summer Morzine group of companies, is proud to be bucking the trend. “We’re delighted to be able to offer new experiences and negotiate attractive deals for our guests,” says Sugg. “We want to share our passion by offering our guests new and memorable ways to experience France, such as discovering the Rivera off the beaten track or exploring the fascinating pre-history outdoor engravings of the Mercantour National Park.”

Whatever the outcome of new French president Francois Hollande’s recent announcement to increase the taxation on owners of second homes in France, Sugg believes that this will have a major impact on people considering buying a property in France. “Instead, people will be looking for quality holidays for quite some years to come. We’d like to say merci beaucoup to M. Hollande!” says Sugg.

The company will continue to offer both winter and summer activity breaks to Morzine while Footprint Holidays will cover new destinations such as the French Riviera, the Loire Valley and Burgundy.
