Athens
During the last decade Athens has developed into a modern European Metropolis and an ideal city break destination. Aside its rich cultural identity, which unfolds along the biggest archaeological promenade in Europe and 44 world class museums and an unparallel natural beauty, Athens offers a modern tourism and business infrastructure with a well connected, user and environmental friendly transportation network, Olympic-size conference venues and top notch accommodation options, from luxury resorts to boutique hotels and youth hostels.

For business or leisure, the vibe of the city can be enjoyed in its gourmet restaurants and traditional taverns, at the multiple cocktail bars and seaside clubs, on its 15 blue flag sandy beaches and marinas or in the cosmopolitan shopping district during more than 300 days of sunshine yearly and mild temperatures.

As an ideal congress destination, Athens combines state-of-the-art infrastructure and excellent congress facilities, offering its visitors the unique opportunity to share their ideas and enrich their culture while relaxing and enjoying life at the same time.

Venue – The New Acropolis Museum
The New Acropolis Museum, gives away the city’s contemporary character as it reveals the rich history Athens is endowed with. Since its inauguration in 2009 it counts more than a million visitors per year.

The new Acropolis museum and its creative use of natural Greek light is the new gem of Athens and has been heralded as a masterpiece in itself. Committed to showcasing the modern elements of one of the world’s oldest cities we couldn’t think of a most appropriate venue, bridging history and evolution, to host the Travel Trade Athens Workshop.

The permanent collections present findings and artifacts from the sacred rock of the Acropolis, while smaller “vignette” temporary exhibits offer insights on the various collections exhibited at the museum.

It is also the ideal location to host a small conference in the museum’s auditorium and Gala dinners or business lunch at the second floor 700 sq.m. terrace with panoramic views of the Acropolis.

Programme
The morning and afternoon sessions include the pre-arranged appointments and a coffee break. A personal meeting agenda will be developed based on delegates’ options after their registration.
