New data reveals how millennials feel when their devices run out of battery while travelling

According to the survey, losing battery power whilst travelling makes millennials feel ‘very frustrated’ (39 per cent), ‘anxious’ (26 per cent) and/or ‘in a panic’ (13 per cent) when travelling.

A recent YouGov survey conducted by MK Electric, a wiring accessories company, revealed that 85 per cent of millennials carry chargeable devices when travelling and that over a quarter have lost contact with people they are travelling with due to loss of battery power on their devices, while 17 percent have even got lost.

Nadine Deery, Channel Marketing Manager comments on the survey: “We’ve become ever reliant on being connected and having the ability to access information with the tap of a finger. This is especially true for millennials. Whilst travelling, they often face challenges when their devices run out of battery. Not knowing critical travel information, the address of a hotel or apartment, or having the ability to study up before a big presentation can cause stress. According to our survey, losing battery power whilst travelling makes millennials feel ‘very frustrated’ (39 per cent), ‘anxious’ (26 per cent) and/or ‘in a panic’ (13 per cent) when travelling.

As consumers become increasingly dependent on technology to support and manage their lifestyles, companies must produce innovative products and solutions to stay in tune with this evolving landscape. Having the ability to charge a device on-the-go can make all the difference.”
