Though San Diego has opted to stick with its traditional “Happiness is Calling” tourism campaign, the 2015 version has taken on an edgier appeal. San Diego hopes to highlight some of its hipper offerings such as its nightlife. Little Italy and the Gaslamp Quarter have earned a place alongside the more traditional highlights of sun and sand. If you want to spend your days on the water and your nights dancing down the streets, San Diego is calling.

New York City welcomed 56.4 million visitors in 2014, but it’s setting its goals higher for the coming years, aiming to hit 67 million annual visitors by the end of 2021. One of its latest attempts to lure tourists to the city comes in the form of the “I Love New York Bus.”
This motor coach service offers day and overnight trips out of the city to destinations like the Hudson Valley and Southampton Beach. This service will offer visitors who are staying in New York City the chance to fill out their itinerary with a brief trip beyond the sweltering city while still making NYC the center of their stay.

Atlantic City – Entertainment Capital of the Jersey Shore

The Atlantic City Alliance (ACA) is promoting Atlantic City heavily for the summer of 2015. ACA has dubbed Atlantic City the “Entertainment Capital of the Jersey Shore.” If you’re looking for a summer trip packed with live entertainment, this tourism campaign has some serious appeal.

The first quarter of 2015 was already the busiest in history for the historic Boardwalk Hall venue. The summer lineup for Atlantic City includes three beach dance events. The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is joining in the action as well, hosting an outdoor music festival dubbed Borgata Festival Park.

North Dakota – Find Your Legendary Adventure

North Dakota’s advertising campaign doesn’t push a single city, but it proudly touts the virtues of the entire state. The broad campaign encourages visitors to find their own legendary adventure in this historic state. Highlights include the Fargo Air Museum, Fort Union, and State Museum at the North Dakota Heritage Center. The campaign is also heavy on outdoor adventure with ads for open hunting, motorcycling, hiking, biking, birding, and golf. If you’re after an outdoor escape, this state has plenty to offer.

Whether you’re looking for live entertainment, engaging side trips, a beach retreat, or a rugged escape, there’s a campaign with you in mind. Book your summer escape early to make sure you get a piece of the fun.
