GoQuo signs Malaysia`s biggest travel management company
Tuesday, November 14, 2006
Online technology solutions provider GoQuo has won the lucrative account for Holiday Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd, Malaysia ’s largest travel management company, with the support of Abacus, Asian GDS leader. The win comes just weeks after GoQuo opened a new office in Kuala Lumpur.

Founded in 1972, Holiday Tours & Travel today leads Malayasia’s corporate travel market, and is increasing its share in the leisure travel sector, offering full agency services, such as flights, hotels, car rental, coaches, cruises, tours and insurance, for inbound and outbound travellers, whether business, leisure, incentive or group.

It will deploy GoQuo’s GQDynamic solution which will be fully customised to Holiday Tours’ business requirements. This deal further solidifies GoQuo’s footing in the Asian market, and adds Malaysia to a growing list of Asian countries where GoQuo’s products are currently being used, such as India and Singapore.

GoQuo established its Kuala Lumpur office in response to a growing number of travel trade enquiries from China, Thailand , Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, India and Malaysia. It is a fully registered company which is in the process of applying for Malaysian government MSC approval to expand its technology offering through research and development investment.

GoQuo sees the new office as a vital foothold in the region which will help it penetrate further into the vast Asian, East Asian and South-east Asian travel technology markets. Malaysia is regarded as a strategic location as the Asian region is one of the fastest-growing travel markets in the world for both inbound and outbound travellers.

Ron Ramanan, GoQuo founder and managing director, commented: “This deal with one of Malaysia ’s biggest travel businesses is a massive vote of confidence in GoQuo. Our name and solution offering, based on competitive pricing, superior robust online technology and customisation to customer needs, will be noted in the region’s travel industry and I’m confident that we will be signing more trade partners in the region soon.”

Pink Kee Chong, IT manager of Holiday Tours & Travel, said: “We chose GoQuo because they offered us complete flexibility, ranging from a simple electronic booking solution to a complete customisable solution. GoQuo also offered a complete portfolio of what we wanted, coupled with a reasonable initial setup cost.”
