2012 – a record year for BalticMiles

BalticMiles has also continued to grow in Latvia, adding seven strong retailers as partners in the Latvian market. The new partners have brought more points of sales to earn points: 20,100, up 90% from 10,577 POS a year before.

RIGA – The multi-partner loyalty program BalticMiles has continued its  growth in 2012 and achieved several performance records. It expanded from 130 to 210 partners, up 61%, teaming up with market leaders in their respective fields. BalticMiles also forged strategic alliances with the largest Finnish bank Pohjola and Russia’s SMP Bank to strengthen its position in these countries.

Gabi Kool, Chief Executive Officer of BalticMiles: “We see that 2012 has been a great step towards our goal of becoming a strong player in the Baltics, Russia and Finland. Our expanding coalition of partners have helped us double the number of places where points are earned by BalticMiles members.”

BalticMiles has also continued to grow in Latvia, adding seven strong retailers as partners in the Latvian market. The new partners have brought more points of sales to earn points: 20,100, up 90% from 10,577 POS a year before. The program has also enlisted 150% more online shops, from 400 to 1,000, and has attracted 133% more followers on its Facebook page, from 6,000 to 14,000. It is now among the Top 20 most popular Facebook pages in Latvia. The growth of BalticMiles helped to achieve  a 42% increase in revenues.

In addition to adding new partners, BalticMiles has launched a number of new products, such as a new website with personalised offers, the Point Calculator and the Money Can’t Buy program. Its work has earned numerous awards. BalticMiles campaign with the hotel chain Rezidor has been named “Best Rezidor social responsibility campaign 2012”. It has also received two Freddie Awards, the oldest and most prominent award for frequent travel programs.
