Pick and choose everything on your airline meal tray in airBaltic flights

From May airBaltic introduces a new airline meal ordering system online. Passengers will be able to select exactly what they would like on their meal tray.

GERMANY – Air Baltic are releasing a new food ordering system online which will allow passengers to drag and drop their preferred meal items onto their airline tray and create their own inflight meal.

How it will work:
Step 1- Once passengers have logged onto the system they will be presented with a screen containing an empty meal tray which then they place their favorite meal options onto.
Step 2- Passengers then make up their own meal tray selecting the items that they would like to eat.

Nutritional information will also form part of the new system.

At the moment Air Baltic offers 20 pre order meal options and 4 dietary meal options which include: Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Vegetarian and Kosher meals. With this new system in place the possibilities are endless. Pretty awesome don’t you think? Probably one of the worlds first ‘pick and choose’ inflight meal pre ordering systems.

Customers must pre order their meals no later than 24 hours prior to departure, however if you forget to pre order a meal don’t worry. The airline can still deliver a meal to your seat (lasagna option only) which can be booked up to 40 minutes before your flight at the ticket desk in Riga.

The system will launch in May and is definitely a fun and interesting way for passengers to pre order an airline meal and choose exactly what they want inflight.
