Appy Hotel launches free mobile marketing app to UK hotels

Appy Hotel is available online to global hotel chains, boutique brands and independently owned properties.

LONDON, UK – With 65 per cent of consumers now making same day hotel reservations from their smartphone, Appy Hotel has announced the UK launch of its cost-free mobile marketing app for hotels. Available on both Apple and Android operating systems, the Appy Hotel platform enables hoteliers to create a mobile app that can be accessed on smartphones or tablets. The platform enables hotels to increase brand awareness, build customer relationships, improve guest experience and generate additional revenue.

Appy Hotel is available online to global hotel chains, boutique brands and independently owned properties. Guests can download the app to their device to learn about the hotel services and nearby sightseeing opportunities, as well as provide feedback to management. The app also acts as a room companion, allowing guests to book in-house services, restaurants and amenities and even make future reservations.

Further to its UK app launch, Appy Hotel is giving hoteliers the ability to create a mobile website from the same backend as the app as part of the overall service. This allows for updates such as menu changes, promotions or new amenities to occur automatically on both the hotel’s app and mobile website with ease.

JP Dumas, founder and CEO of AppyHotel, said: “The meteoric rise in smartphone and tablet use now means that consumers are demanding information in real-time often whilst on the move. This is the direction that hoteliers must take if they’re to generate excitement about their properties and market their services effectively. The ultimate goal of any hotelier is to boost occupancy rates, but it’s now also possible to gain huge revenue opportunities by allowing guests to book additional services via the app platform.

“We know that cost is the main reason deterring hoteliers from investing in the latest technology, but they no longer have to pay a huge amount of money to employ an app developer when they can do it themselves, for free and with the same level of high quality.”

An added benefit of Appy Hotel is that it supports hotel brands’ “green initiatives” by allowing them to minimise the use of paper-based materials during the guests’ stay, reducing the number of in-room menus, promotional material and welcome packs that have to be printed.
