New spa experience at La Manga Club

Guests at Spain’s five-star La Manga Club can enjoy a taste of the Orient this autumn after the luxury resort launched a new Thai spa area for guests to pamper themselves and help ease away their aches and pains.

CARTAGENA – Two experienced native Thai therapists are offering a wide range of therapeutic, oriental massages at the award-winning venue’s Spa La Manga Club, with some of the treatments’ origins dating back to 2,500 years ago.

Featuring a combination of influences from cultures and traditions from across India, China and south-east Asia, the centuries-old treatments – which last up to 90 minutes – focus on the holistic care of the individual: body, spirit and mind.

Treatments include a Thai massage, a traditional therapy based on acupressure, stretching and application of pressure on energy meridians and muscles; Nuad Tao, a reflexology treatment applied to energy points on feet, hands and legs; and Nuad Nah, a facial and scalp massage which also covers the neck and upper back and shoulder area and is designed to provide relief from migraines and ease away signs of facial tiredness, stress and anxiety.

In addition, acupressure, Thai herbal massages and Royal Thai Aromatherapy sessions, which use the finest essential oils and finger pressure based on an ancient technique from the Kingdom of Siam, are also available.

The new treatments include access to Spa La Manga Club’s fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms for the day, and are set to further enhance La Manga Club’s reputation as the premier sports and leisure destination in Europe.

In addition to the 2,000m² spa and fitness centre, the resort boasts unrivalled facilities including three 18-hole championship golf courses and a 28-court tennis centre which is the overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). It also offers the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, more than 20 bars and restaurants and is great fun for children.
