Interline agreement between Transaero and JetBlue offers new travel opportunities

Now passengers originating in the US can travel with JetBlue from their hometown airport and connect to Moscow via New York with Transaero.

MOSCOW – Transaero Airlines has launched sales of tickets on connecting flights via New York between 45 US cities and Moscow under the interline agreement signed with JetBlue earlier this October.

Now passengers originating in the US can travel with JetBlue from their hometown airport and connect to Moscow via New York with Transaero. Transaero Airlines offers its passengers an opportunity to continue their travel from Moscow Vnukovo airport to other cities in Russia and the CIS.

And vice versa, travellers from Russia are able to take transfer flights via New York to most of the domestic and international destinations served by JetBlue.

Passengers will be able to use a single ticket for their travel and take advantage of a through baggage check-in providing for automatic baggage transfer between connecting flights.

Dmitry Stolyarov, First Deputy General Director of Transaero Airlines, said: “Transaero’s latest partnership with JetBlue will provide more travel choice for our passengers.  Transaero’s direct flights to New York, Los Angeles and Miami are traditionally in high demand among our clients as the airline offers high quality service to our passengers. The cooperation with airline-partners extends the opportunities available for our clients and contributes to increase of consumer demand as well as to the airline’s growth in general.”

“JetBlue is recognized throughout the Americas for an in-flight experience and customer service that is second to none,” said Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning. “We look forward to introducing even more travelers throughout the world to our airline with the many new flight options this interline agreement creates via our hometown of New York City.”

Currently, Transaero operates Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 on the Moscow-New York route with three classes of service: Imperial, Business and Economy. Flights from the USA arrive at Moscow Vnukovo airport, the closest airport to the Moscow city center.

Transaero offers Quick Connect service for its transit passengers. Any Transaero passenger who has a connecting flight with less than three hours gap between landing time and departure time can take advantage of this free service. An airport representative meets a transit passenger at the door of the aircraft and assists to pass through all the formal procedures.

Tickets are available at the Transaero Airlines’ ticket offices and its agent offices.
