Botswana safari camps in Okavango Delta on Conde Nast Traveler Gold List 2014

Botswana is home to some of the finest safari lodges and camps in all Africa. Their exquisite attention to detail, outstanding personalized service, and respect for the surrounding environment blend to create an outstanding guest experience on safari, states Leslee Hall, Botswana Tourism Organization-USA office.

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Camp Okavango and the Mombo and Little Mombo Camps in Botswana have again been selected by Conde Nast Traveler readers as among their favorite places to stay in the world, according to the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List 2014. Both properties are repeat winners on the Gold List, with the sister Mombo and Little Mombo Camps having been chosen by CNT readers as one of best-of-the-best resorts for the last five years running.

These popular camps are all located in the iconic Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta and a wetland paradise in the midst of the Kalahari Desert, with good to excellent game viewing year-round. The enchanting Camp Okavango, a Desert & Delta Safaris property, sits at the heart of the Okavango Delta on Nxaragha Island. The luxurious Mombo and Little Mombo Camps, Wilderness-Safaris properties, are situated overlooking a large floodplain on the northern point of Chief’s Island, a bountiful hunting ground for large prides of lion and star-struck leopard.

“Botswana is home to some of the finest safari lodges and camps in all Africa. Their exquisite attention to detail, outstanding personalized service, and respect for the surrounding environment blend to create an outstanding guest experience on safari,” states Leslee Hall, Botswana Tourism Organization-USA office. “We are delighted that Conde Nast Traveler readers agree, and congratulate these companies and their staff on this well-deserved recognition.”
