Mindtree signs pact with SITA for finance system platform

Providing support for core finance platform that covers 310 entities across 200 countries.

Global technology solutions company Mindtree has inked in a deal with SITA to provide application support and evolutionary maintenance services for the strategic finance system (SFS) platform.

SITA specialises in providing IT and telecommunication services to the air transport industry.

The SFS, based on Oracle’s eBusiness suite, consolidates all internal and external finance processing across the globe for 200 countries, encompassing 310 entities.

Mindtree will provide level 2 and 3 application support for SFS for three years, including database administration and monitoring, consulting services and maintenance to improve operational efficiency, application enhancements, customisation and new report generation.

“Together, Mindtree and SITA have had a successful relationship for more than seven years. We have been operating and supporting SITA’s billing and invoicing systems for more than 5 years and we are excited to be a part of this journey to further enhance SITA’ ability to serve their customers more efficiently,” said Mindtree MD and CEO Krishnakumar Natarajan said.

Mindtree has set up a support centre of excellence to help SITA reduce their support and operational costs. The centre will reduce the number of support tickets, provide greater insights into billing and collections and reduce delivery time through agile management of change requests.

Mindtree’s evolutionary maintenance model will help SITA rapidly identify and resolve business critical issues through proactive monitoring, ongoing consultative and best practice recommendations for system improvement and efficiencies.
