GBTA Russia announces keynote speakers and new resource launch at upcoming Moscow event

The GBTA Travel Symposium – Moscow is expected to attract 80 delegates who will attend three sessions.

MOSCOW – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) announced the line-up of keynote speakers for its Travel Symposium in Moscow, at the Marriott Grand Hotel, on 3rd June 2014.

The GBTA Travel Symposium – Moscow is expected to attract 80 delegates who will attend three sessions. The first part of the event will feature a presentation and official launch of two new resources for GBTA’s members in Russia. GBTA’s new semi-annual report, the GBTA Business Travel Index (BTI) Outlook – Russia will provide a detailed outlook on business travel expenditure and predicted growth for the Russian market. The next session will focus on case studies for the creation and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and will feature a new KPI Toolkit (Fundamentals) created by the GBTA Russia Advisory Board. It will be launched as part of a KPI clinic at the event and presented to members in Russian language.

“This is a programme developed by the GBTA Russia Advisory board for travel professionals – giving them an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, share best practice and take away tools that will help them in their daily job while building their network,” said Tatiana Poplavskaya, Head of Corporate Services at Financial Corporation Otkritie, who is moderating the event.

The final session of the event will be devoted to the supply chain impact of Aeroflot’s latest commission cuts. Speakers and panelists will discuss the impact on TMC value and pricing and the effects on Self Booking Tool (SBT) adoption after a keynote presentation by Aeroflot Sales Director Mr Ilya Alexandrovsky. Mr Alexandrovsky will share details of the adopted airline strategy, after which Mr Andrey Voronine, CEO and Owner of ATH American Express, will share his thoughts on how these changes will affect the role of the TMC and other possible consequences for the Russian market. The session will end with a panel discussion led by Mr Stanislav Kostyashkin, CEO of Continent Express.
