Twelve new destinations from Riga International Airport in summer season

Riga Airport is expecting a new air carrier which, in cooperation with the travel agency “Mouzenidis”, will offer new charter flights to Corfu, Greece.

Along with the introduction of summer flight schedule, Riga International Airport offers its passengers 12 new destinations; moreover, Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, will open its Riga base in June. Apart from air shipping, the airline will launch flights in four new routes – from Riga to Barcelona, Doncaster Sheffield, Dortmund and Paris (Beauvais), as well as will increase the frequency of flights to London (Luton) and Oslo (Torp).

The national airline airBaltic, in turn, will launch flights to Aberdeen (United Kingdom) in March and to Gothenburg (Sweden) and Burgas (Bulgaria) in April, as well as will offer flights to Palma de Mallorca, Bucharest and Varna as from June. Moreover, the airline airBaltic has introduced additional flights in 14 routes, thus allowing travelling from Riga to Amsterdam, Athens, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Kiev, Larnaca, London (Gatwick), Moscow (Domodedovo), Olbia, Palanga, Prague and Tbilisi more often. Whereas, the flights in the route Riga–Saint-Petersburg will be performed seventeen times a week.

Riga Airport is expecting a new air carrier which, in cooperation with the travel agency Mouzenidis, will offer new charter flights to Corfu, Greece. Moreover, the airline Utair Ukraine is planning to launch its flights from Riga, delivering the passengers to Zhulyany Airport in Kiev.

In total, the frequency of flights will increase by 27% compared to winter season. More flights will be performed to Warsaw (LOT), as well as to Copenhagen and Oslo (Norwegian).

In summer season passengers are able to travel from Riga International Airport to 83 destinations, the flights to which are performed by the following airlines: airBaltic, Ryanair, WizzAir, Aerflot, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Finnair, Uzbekistan Airways, LOT, Utair, Transaero, Belavia, Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, Utair Ukraine, Ellinair, SmartLynx.
