New airberlin route from Dusseldorf to Madrid

There are convenient connecting flights from numerous German cities such as Dresden, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart.

As of this week, airberlin is connecting Dusseldorf and Madrid with flights every day except Saturdays from the city on the Rhine to the Spanish capital. To celebrate the occasion, the airline treated all guests on the first flight each way to a glass of Cava. Following on from the new routes between Berlin and Madrid and Vienna and Madrid, now with the flights from Dusseldorf the airline is launching its third new non-stop service in about a year from Germany and Austria to the Spanish capital.

“With the new route between Dusseldorf and Madrid, we are underlining the importance of the Spanish market, which we can serve even better with this new connection. The new flights will considerably increase our capacity on the routes to and from Madrid and are also seamlessly incorporated in our hub structure in Dusseldorf. This means that our guests from Germany and other countries have excellent connections for flights to Madrid available to them,” said Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO airberlin.

There are convenient connecting flights from numerous German cities such as Dresden, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. airberlin flight guests from northern and eastern Europe, for example from Copenhagen and Moscow, can also easily reach Madrid via Dusseldorf. Furthermore, from May the airline is increasing the frequency of its services between Berlin and Madrid from twelve times a week to twice a day. Via Berlin and Dusseldorf, airberlin’s two international hubs, the airline connects Madrid to a total of 29 destinations in Europe and the rest of the world.

The new flight from Dusseldorf to Madrid takes off at 09:20 on weekdays and at 13:10 on Sundays, and lands two-and-a-half hours later at Madrid’s Barajas airport. All flights by the airberlin group land and take off at Terminal 4 at Madrid-Barajas, which is also used by other airlines in the oneworld airline alliance.

The flights from and to Madrid can now be booked online at airberlin.com, through the airline’s Service Center around the clock on 030 3434 3434 (local rates apply) or through a travel agency.
