Airport Lounge Development Inc. opens Phoenix Airport's first independent shared-use lounge

The Club at PHX Marks ALD's sixth location, welcoming travelers flying through PHX.

DALLAS – Airport Lounge Development Inc. (ALD), the leading U.S. independent shared-use lounge developer, announced the opening of the first and only shared-use airport lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, The Club at PHX. This marks ALD’s sixth club, further strengthening its position as the largest portfolio of independently operated shared-use lounges in the U.S.

“The opening of this lounge, at one of the top ten busiest airports in the U.S., allows us to welcome thousands of travelers to an inclusive respite regardless of their carrier or affinity memberships,” said Nancy Knipp, senior vice president at ALD. “More and more, travelers are seeking alternative lounge options and airports are turning to ALD for the solution. The concept of ‘independent shared-use’ airport lounges is still relatively new in the US, but very popular in Europe and Asia. ALD is taking the successful business model used in Europe and Asia, and tailoring it to the US market, designing and operating spaces that allow travelers to relax or work in comfort while waiting for their flight.”

The Club at PHX is located past security near the high B gates in Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and is available to all passengers traveling out of that terminal. Lounge access is available for $35. The club also welcomes members of Priority Pass, Priority Pass Select and Lounge Club.

The relaxing lounge provides both business and leisure travelers alike a refuge from airport hustle and bustle with calming shades of blue and gray along with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and expansive views of the tarmac. The Club at PHX gives passengers access to free snacks and beverages, including beer, wine and spirits, complimentary high speed Wi-Fi and work stations with PC’s and printers. The Club at PHX is approximately 3,000 square feet and has seating for roughly 90 people.

This opening comes on the heels of ALD’s recent appointment of Nancy Knipp as Senior Vice President, who is charged with leading ALD’s business operations and growth strategy.

ALD’s five other lounges include: The Club at DFW, located in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; The Club at LAS in Terminals 1 and 3 in Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport, The Club at SJC, located in Mineta San Jose International Airport and The Club at ATL, located in the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

All clubs offer an all-inclusive, affordable and hospitable airport lounge experience for anyone who is looking for a place to relax, be productive or simply spend time with family, friends, business colleagues, before, during or after their travel journey.
