MCI joins forces with Hagen Invent

The merger will add a fourth location to MCI’s operations in Germany, expanding  the company’s unique services and solutions to a wider range of clients through a new office in Dusseldorf, home to many national and international corporations and institutions.

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – MCI Germany has strengthened its creative event and incentive services through a merger with Hagen Invent GmbH & Co. KG, an award-winning event marketing and incentive agency.

The merger will add a fourth location to MCI’s operations in Germany, expanding  the company’s unique services and solutions to a wider range of clients through a new office in Dusseldorf, home to many national and international corporations and institutions.

Founded in 1979, Hagen Invent has 35 years’ experience in conceiving and organising events, incentives and sales promotion activities for leading German companies in the automotive and financial services industries.

The agency offers outstanding expertise across the entire spectrum of creative, custom-made event and incentive production, including product launches, corporate meetings, motivational events and global incentive trips, and is classed as one of the strongest agencies for live communication in Germany.

The combined competencies of the MCI Group and Hagen Invent guarantee even more security, more international experience and a larger scope of services to our clients,” said Hagen Invent founder and owner Werner Hagen, who is entrusting his life’s work to MCI, a key player in the international meetings, events, congress and association industries. “As part of a major international group, Hagen Invent will benefit from a global network of 56 offices and 1,600 new MCI colleagues in 29 countries.

We are delighted to be joining forces with one of the strongest, most creative and internationally experienced German agencies with a record of thousands of successfully implemented international events and incentives,” said Gerrit Jessen, MD of MCI Germany. “The merger is perfectly in line with MCI’s new Brand Value Strategy and will help us realise our targets in the fields of creation, production and meeting design more quickly. With our team of 120 colleagues in Germany, we will continue our focused approach to grow and add value to our clients.”

Hagen Invent will continue to operate under its own brand name and will be managed by Michaela Schmitz, who has been in charge of operations since 1996.

Alongside the Hagen Invent team, a new healthcare unit has been set up in Dusseldorf to implement healthcare projects defined for a major pharmaceutical company from the region, expanding MCI Germany’s competence in the pharmaceutical sector and its presence in the region.
