DALLAS – The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announces New Orleans will be the host city for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 11-13 December 2018 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition is the single, face-to-face event that offers a wealth of education sessions and networking opportunities designed specifically for exhibitions and events industry professionals.

Much like we did in 2010, we can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for our friends, colleagues and partners as we celebrate our tricentennial and complete major projects such as a new, state-of-the-art airport,” said Stephen Perry, president and CEO, New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Bob Johnson, general manager of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center noted, “We couldn’t be more excited for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition’s return to New Orleans in 2018 when we celebrate the city’s 300th birthday and for the attendees to see the changes at the convention center since convening here in 2010. Expect more announcements in the coming months about new developments planned for the New Orleans tricentennial.”
Generally, IAEE’s selection process begins more than three years prior to the event and proposals are requested from visitor/convention bureaus. The submissions are evaluated based on general appeal of venue, management of the sales process, center and housing package, access to air transportation and level of support toward IAEE’s commitment to its constituents. These criteria are extensively reviewed by the IAEE Board of Directors and staff, and then the selected city is announced.
