McArthurGlen Designer Outlets in Europe gear up for yet another exciting summer – Jet, Set, Go!

The campaign is designed to promote McArthurGlen’s 20 Designer Outlets across Europe as stylish shopping destinations for European tourists, with the strapline, ‘You can shop with us wherever you go on holiday this summer’.

To coincide with the arrival of the summer holiday period, McArthurGlen has launched its first ever pan-European tourism marketing campaign – Jet, Set, Go!

The campaign is designed to promote McArthurGlen’s 20 Designer Outlets across Europe as stylish shopping destinations for European tourists, with the strapline, ‘You can shop with us wherever you go on holiday this summer’. With additional savings to be made and in-centre promotions and events, there has never been a better time to visit a McArthurGlen Designer Outlet!

McArthurGlen’s centres are all conveniently located near key touristic cities across eight countries in Europe; which makes them ideal destinations for fashion-loving tourists looking for a stylish shopping experience, whether to buy something to wear on holiday or the latest on-trend item to wear at home.

Around 200 million trips are made by Europeans within Europe each year, with the Germans, British and Dutch the most frequent travellers (source: Euromonitor). According to Ipsos/Europ Assistance, around three-quarters of Europeans going on holiday this summer are taking holidays within Europe, and more than half book their holidays online.

Jet, Set, Go is a digitally-led campaign, communicated in five key European languages. It looks to engage with McArthurGlen’s 5 million Privilege Club members; prospective Europeans looking for inspiration on where to go this summer in Europe, as well as those European tourists who are already within the catchment of our centres.

As part of the Jet, Set, Go campaign, these customers are invited to present themselves at the info desk of a McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in order to redeem an exclusive gift consisting of a designer travel pouch (subject to terms and conditions).

They will also benefit from McArthurGlen’s exclusive partnership with Hertz car rentals, offering a discount of up to 15% (terms & conditions apply) in eight of the countries where McArthurGlen’s centres are located (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK).

Anthony Rippingale, McArthurGlen’s Head of Tourism, says: “We want to establish our 20 Designer Outlets as the places to be this summer while on holiday – for European tourists as well as for the global shopper visiting Europe, whether with family or friends. McArthurGlen is about the great shopping and brands on offer, as well as the exciting programme of events and activities taking place at our centres all summer long, making for a perfect holiday experience.”

The Jet, Set, Go campaign announces a host of other summer activities at McArthurGlen’s centres – both to enjoy and as places to be seen – including:

  • Vintage lovers can take in the Vintage Fashion Festival at all five Italian McArthurGlencentres, near the cities of Milan, Rome, Venice, Florence and Naples. The collections are exclusively curated by A.N.G.E.L.O., the Italian owner of Europe’s biggest vintage collection and a leading expert in the field.
  • Ashford Designer Outlet, 60 minutes south-east of London, has created a Tropical Garden, designed to celebrate the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the tropical fever and exotic fashion sweeping the UK; the garden includes its very own football pitch.
  • The World Cup is also the theme for Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, near Manchester, where a Brazilian-inspired beach will be complete with sand and deckchairs, as well as a pop-up beach bar in the Quarter, home to many of the luxury brands at what is the UK’s largest designer outlet.
  • The Summer Festival at the five McArthurGlen centres in Italykicks off the first weekend in July, to offer shoppers fun-filled summer evenings of musical delights, including special performances and entertainment completely free of charge which includes the 10th Serravalle Jazz Festival.
  • McArthurGlen is holding Late-Night Shopping events at Designer Outlet Roermondon 19 July, at Designer Outlet Berlinon 31 July and Designer Outlet Parndorf, near Vienna, on 31 August, with extended opening hours and additional savings on the year-round 30-70%.
  • The start of the summer sales at all 20 McArthurGlen Designer Outlets, which offer additional savings off some of the world’s most sought-after luxury, designer and lifestyle brands on top of the usual 30-70.
