Faith Travel Association goes on the road

Presence at Prominent Travel and Faith-Based Conventions helps fulfill promise to take members to their customers.

LEXINGTON, KY. – Taking yet another step to fulfill its mission to bring the travel industry together with faith-based circles to better promote faith-based travel, Faith Travel Association (FTA) announced this week its plans to participate in several prominent travel and faith-based events for the remainder of 2014, with more to be added next year.

To gain valuable exposure before faith leaders, the association will have a presence at several popular faith-based gatherings and conventions, including an upcoming Ecumenical Men’s Retreat in Indiana, where Dr. Z. Allen Abbott, executive Director of FTA, will be keynote speaker. FTA will also be exhibiting at Catalyst, a gathering of 13,000 emerging Christian leaders held in October in Atlanta, and the National Youth Workers Convention, an event for about 3,000 Christian youth leaders, held in November in Atlanta.

“We are going to the faith leaders as promised,” explained Dr. Z. Allen Abbott. “We are increasing our presence at faith-based events so that our members will have greater exposure before key faith-based prospects.”

FTA will also be expanding its members’ reach at various well-known travel industry events, including NTA’s tour operator event, Contact, to be held in August in Portland, Rejuvenate,Marketplace, a convention for more than 1,000 faith-based travel planners to be held in Atlanta in October, the National Association of Career Travel Agents Convention, to be held in Phoenix in October, and the United States Tour Operator Association Convention scheduled in Boca Raton, Florida in December.

“Combined, this carefully-considered cross-section of faith-based and travel industry events gives our members a breadth of exposure before the entire spectrum of the faith-based travel market that would be extremely cost-prohibitive on their own,” said Dr. Abbott. “But by leveraging FTA’s presence at these key events, our members can market their business to entirely new circles of prospects very affordably, and without missing a day in the office.”
