LiquidSpace reports rapid growth of on-demand workspace

Mobile professionals are already working in hotel rooms and lobbies everywhere but need reservable workspace where they can conduct their business meetings, conference calls and on-the-go work sessions.

SAN FRANCISCO – Hotels are not just for overnight stays; collectively, they are the fastest growing on-demand office space in the U.S. LiquidSpace, the leading online marketplace for finding and booking flexible office and meeting space, shared today that the supply of hotel workspaces on LiquidSpace has grown 1060% in the past year and now makes up one third of all the flexible workspace across the U.S. available on the platform.

“Hotels are becoming the equivalent of the world’s largest office building,” said Mark Gilbreath, founder and CEO of LiquidSpace. “What’s really interesting is that we’re seeing hotels not just offer up their existing, under-utilized meeting rooms, we’re actually seeing them reconfigure other areas of their properties to create additional workspaces that meet the demands of a growing mobile workforce. Coworking lounges, a private office staged poolside, workspace on roof decks – these are just a few examples of the new range of hotel workspace options offering all of the professional amenities one needs to be productive.”
