Enjoy “The Circus World at Frankfurt Airport” on August 24 – Visitors’ Terrace and terminals serve as exciting arena for clowns, magicians and artistes.
“Come on in!” will be the motto of Fraport’s AirXperience Day August 24 at Frankfurt Airport’s (FRA) Visitors’ Terrace and passenger terminals. FRA’s international flair and the terrace – with its exciting panoramic view of the busy airfield – will provide a unique atmosphere for staging “Holiday Circus Magic – the Circus World at Frankfurt Airport” during AirXperience Sunday. The event program is designed especially for children and youth on their summer holidays but also offers countless entertainment for younger and older visitors alike.
Ringmasters on stilts, close-up magicians and other walking acts will bring the circus directly to the major visitor areas throughout Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Visitors will also be able to participate in an exciting contest with prizes. Of course, FRA’s shops and restaurants will also be open for browsing, dining and relaxing.
The AirXperience Sunday will showcase true circus highlights ranging from a delightful dog show to the tempestuous Allez & Hopp clown program. Best of all, children will have the opportunity to learn and perform juggling, magic and “clowning around” in a special hands-on arena, under the expert guidance of circus professionals. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the band Glow who will play popular hits throughout the day. Feelings of wanderlust can be remedied by a refreshing stop at the Visitors’ Terrace bar, where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink on a deckchair under palm trees, while watching the aircraft take off and land.
A special celebrity from “The Bachelor” television show – Jan Kralitschka from the third season of Germany’s version of this popular reality show – will be available for photos and autographs. Visitors will also be able to film their own personal holiday clip with “The Bachelor” guest star and send exotic holiday greetings from the airport to their friends.
The August 24th AirXperience Sunday and the subsequent week will offer the last opportunity to enjoy FRA’s Visitors’ Terrace before it closes for refurbishment. Effective September 1, the Visitors’ Terrace and International Food Plaza (on Level 4 of Terminal 2) will close until early 2015 for extensive redesign and renovation work.
However, there will still be more AirXperience Days coming to FRA later this year on the following Sundays: September 21 with “Pit Stop – The World of Formula 1 at Frankfurt Airport”; October 26 with “Autumn Treats – Cultural and Culinary Specialties of the World at Frankfurt Airport”; November 23 with “Weightlessness – Journey of the Universe”; and December 14 with “Winter Magic – International Christmas at Frankfurt Airport”.
