The Spot Experience launches renewed travel division

Premier dog services provider hires industry veteran and developer of world-renowned PetSafe Program, Lisa Schoppa, to head Spot Travel.

NEW YORK – The Spot Experience, New York’s premier and fastest growing dog services provider, announced the launch of its renewed travel division, with safer and more advanced service offerings in partnership with United Airlines. Spot Travel will be headed by industry veteran Lisa Schoppa, developer of the award- winning and world-renowned PetSafe Program, who will build the luxury canine services.

“Lisa will be a valuable addition to our team and we know she will make a tremendous impact on Spot Travel,” stated Mitch Marrow, Founder and co-CEO of Spot. “With over 30 years of pet travel experience, her expertise in the industry is unparalleled and we look forward to creating the most advanced animal air transportation program.”

While airlines employ handlers equipped to deal with cargo to handle their pet transportation, Spot Travel provides trained animal care professionals to accompany pets to waiting areas. Pets are also attended by specialized behaviorists who will work to keep the atmosphere as stress free as possible, ensuring a smooth trip for both the pet and their owners. Spot Travel is also developing a state of the art concierge travel service to be offered to customers of Spot’s day care services.

Schoppa and her team are all highly ranked members of both the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association and the International Air Transport Association,

“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to head Spot Travel,” said Jeffrey Ginsberg, co-CEO of Spot. “The credentials and specialty knowledge of the entire team make the renewed program the first and only of its kind and we look forward to providing airlines with the highest quality of service.”

Prior to her current position, Schoppa held various management roles at Continental Airlines where she developed the PetSafe program in 1998. During this time, she earned many honors for both the program and her individual efforts, which allowed her the opportunity to lead a team at United Airlines to launch a revised PetSafe program.

Schoppa also previously served as General Manager at Starwood Animal Transport, a world-class pet shipping company, which specializes in the relocation and care of family pets from all locations across the world.
