WOW air partners with Bookings.com

Partnership will allow the airline to offer even lower fares.

WOW air, Iceland’s only low-cost airline, has negotiated a partnership with hotel site Bookings.com as part of its broader strategy to offer the lowest possible prices on flights and hotels in Europe.

The partnership has allowed WOW air to begin offering flights from London to Reykjavik, at an even lower price point when sold in conjunction with a hotel deal. Hotel rooms will be sold at up to 50% off the standard rate as part of the partnership.

“Our goal is to be able to offer our customers the possibility to complete every aspect of the holiday in the same booking and get a better offer at the same time,“ says Skuli Mogensen, CEO of WOW air. “It is very satisfying to have reached this agreement with this reputable company that builds its business in the same way as WOW air, always offering the lowest prices.”

Booking.com B.V., part of the Priceline Group that owns and operates Booking.com, is now one of the world leaders in booking accommodation online with more than 700,000 rooms reserved through the site every day. The Booking.com website and mobile app attract users from both the leisure and business sectors worldwide.

The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, supported by 135 offices in 50 countries worldwide. Over 8000 staff are employed to serve Booking.com’s customers and property-owning partners globally.

“The goal of  Booking.com is to help leisure and business travelers, whatever their budgets, easily discover, book, and enjoy the world’s best places to stay. It has been a pleasure to work with Wow air and see the hotel reservations grow rapidly in a very short time. Both companies are committed to offering the best travel experience for their customers” says Bryan Batista – Head of Global Partnerships at Booking.com.
