Menin Hospitality to open Gale Suites at Kaskades, December 2014

Gale South Beach unveils multimillion-dollar extension, offers five-star accommodations in Miami.

MIAMI – Menin Hospitality, South Florida’s leading hospitality company, has announced plans to reveal its newest multimillion-dollar luxury accommodations in Miami, Gale Suites at Kaskades, on December 1, 2014. Serving as an annex of renewed grandeur, the all-suite wing of renowned Gale South Beach is set to open in union with the hotel’s two-year anniversary and is ideally located just steps away at 300 17th Street. The exclusive guest-only property will offer the highest level of privacy and personalized service, supreme comfort and relaxation, 25 significantly spaced quarters, state-of-the-art amenities and the latest in meeting and events facilities.

“With each new Menin Hospitality project we are aiming to offer our guests an unrivaled product, level of detail-oriented service and brand standard,” said Jared Galbut, managing principal of Menin Hospitality. “The allure and success of Gale South Beach allowed us to feel comfortable in moving forward with a more sophisticated product featuring premium amenities and finishes as seen in some of the top residential projects. New and returning clientele can now customize their stay at the hotel and suites, whether it have a concentration on luxury accommodations, family-friendly amenities, business services or an entertainment-driven experience.”

The restoration, led by local design visionaries Urban Robot Associates, will be carried out with the utmost sensitivity to maintain the boutique hotel’s historic relevance and charm, as originally designed by famed architect Melvin Grossman in 1953. Two additional levels have been carefully incorporated to offer a 1,000-square-foot meeting space, catering kitchen and a 3,400-square-foot rooftop terrace and pool where cast-in-place planters allow for lush gardens to “cascade” down the facade of the building, bringing the property’s original name to life.

Upon arrival, a mobile front desk agent will utilize an iPad to check guests in with ease while escorting them to the hotel’s exclusive access point. An enchanting garden conceals the gated entrance, also offering a buffer from street view and hinting at the tropical, landscaped surroundings within. Guests can stop and enjoy the alfresco, maritime-inspired gathering areas or follow a marble path to a discreet wooden gate that serves as the portal for the suites and private outdoor gallery.

The design of Gale Suites at Kaskades preserves the distinct materials, color palette and sentiment of Gale South Beach, but reinterprets the scheme, amenities and standard of luxury. Deep blue leather-paneled walls and contemporary floor rugs offer an accent of color against the warm grey hardwood flooring and grey-stained expert millwork all in bespoke wood manufactured in Amsterdam by Oscar Ono. In-room accessories are sourced from Italian icon Alessi and loose furniture pieces are imported from renowned Italian design houses Flexform and B&B Italia.

The marble-clad wet room becomes the main event, if not a personal spa experience, with rain showers that double as an aromatherapy steam room, spa tubs and custom outdoor Japanese soaking tubs utilizing chromatherapy treatment and water jet massage for first-floor guests. The vanity mirror conceals an LED TV that disappears when not in use and the latest, hands-free Toto washlet toilets welcome the user by automatically opening its lid when approached and also serves as an electronic bidet with seat and water temperature control.

Beginning January 2015, the suites can be accessed through a Menin Hospitality application that will allow room selection, check in and keyless entry with the use of a compatible Apple® device. Within the generously spaced accommodations, a Control4 Portable Touch Screen becomes the hub for controlling the temperature, lights, automated window shades and 55” LED TV. Additional enhancements include a chamomile-infused tranquility gel mattress, luxury Italian linens, expanded 90 channel HD lineup on the latest IBAHN system, high-speed wireless internet, private balcony, sitting area, desk, room service, nightly turn-down service, two chairs at Shelborne Beach Club and access to Gale South Beach’s fitness center, dining and entertainment options.

Building out each space to offer an indoor-outdoor sanctuary, this vision is also carried throughout the event and corporate accommodations. The intimate rooftop terrace offers a full kitchen, private pool and sweeping views overlooking the Frank Gehry-designed New World Symphony, while the ultramodern meeting space delivers the flexibility of lecture room, boardroom or theatre style seating with the ability to take business conversations outdoors to its attached, wraparound terrace. The hotel also customizes conferences, corporate retreats and breakout packages with its designated business concierge team.
