“Our quarterly CCRAtravel.com hotel booking trend reports provide useful insight into the countries and cities of interest for travelers who are seeking the services of travel professionals to book their hotel stays,” said Dic Marxen, President and CEO of CCRA Travel Commerce Network. “This Fall we have seen several new cities and countries appear on our “Top 10 Cities” lists compared to fall 2013. However, we were not entirely surprised by this as many of these trending 2014 travel destinations were predicted to be emerging vacation hotspots by various travel industry sources. For example, Iceland was listed as one of CNN’s “Top places to go in 2014” because of this year’s expected spectacular Northern Lights display and Istanbul, Turkey was named the “hottest destination for 2014” based on a TripAdvisor traveler poll. Some of the new cities that appear on our Top 10 U.S. City list, including San Diego, Nashville, and Hawaii’s Kauai Island have been promoting affordable travel package deals and enticing hotel offers that make these ideal places for travelers of all ages and interests to visit this autumn. Through our CCRAtravel.com portal, travel agents earn competitive commissions and provide their clients with incredible value and affordable hotel rates in the most popular 2014 travel destinations across the globe.”

These fall travel trends are based on hotel bookings made by travel agents via CCRA’s proprietary hotel booking portal, CCRAtravel.com.
