Winter season at Riga Airport: a new airline and several new flights

Generally, in the winter season Riga International Airport will offer flights to 66 destinations operated by 16 airlines – airBaltic, Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines Group, Belavia, Brussels Airlines, Finnair, LOT, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Uzbekistan Airways, Ryanair, Transaero, Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, Wizz Air, Smartlynx.

As the winter schedule sets in at Riga International Airport, the carrier Brussels Airlines is starting its operations at the airport with six flights a week. Airport will offer new destinations to Cologne (Koln) and Poprad, and renewed flights to Bradford (Leeds) and Brussels (Charleroi).
 
Brussels Airlines will commence flights from Riga to Brussels on 26 October. Brussels Airlines – the member of Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance – will perform six flights a week to Riga International Airport, all of them – in afternoons.

Starting from 30 October, the national carrier airBaltic will raise the number of flights to Moscow – in addition to the flights landing in the airports of Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo, airBaltic will also carry passengers to Vnukovo Airport.

From 13 December, airBaltic will perform flights to Poprad (Slovakia) once a week.

From 26 October, the airline Ryanair will renew flights to Bradford (Leeds) and Brussels (Charleroi), on 28 October it will commence flights to Cologne (Germany), and on 1 November – to Glasgow International Airport (formerly flights were scheduled to Glasgow Prestwick Airport).

In this winter season Austrian Airlines, jointly with the tour operator Tez Tour, will again perform charter flights to Innsbruck (Austria). The flights will be conducted on Airbus A319 type aircraft providing more space for the passengers than in the previous seasons.
