Kosmar hails successful transformation as 'new, leaner' business takes off

The holiday agent unveiled their plans to turn the company around and develop the strategies behind the business, in response to the economic downturn which started back in 2008, while focusing on meeting customers' needs in terms of the continually advancing technology which will create a company not just for now, but for future generations.

SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND – The British holiday provider reports a surge in interest for summer 2015 bookings as a result of low prices and ‘more to offer’.

Holiday operator Kosmar has reported a successful transformation so far, as Managing Director, Jhy Worsnop-Hesford says “a leaner, fitter, better company has taken flight”. Mr Worsnop-Hesford described the transformation as ‘more than washing its face’.

The holiday agent unveiled their plans to turn the company around and develop the strategies behind the business, in response to the economic downturn which started back in 2008, while focusing on meeting customers’ needs in terms of the continually advancing technology which will create a company not just for now, but for future generations.

In July 2014, Kosmar became a member of the Travel Trust Association, following talks with multiple consortiums and groups. Every customer of Kosmar can now take advantage of 100% financial protection under the license as well as ATOL protection on Flight Plus and Package Holidays.

The business announced a complete rebrand in August 2014 and introduced the new ‘Sunny Beach’ brand which has proved to be friendly and popular among all stakeholders.

The holiday agent saw a dramatic rise in website traffic in September 2014 following the launch of its new state of the art website offering travel and trips from both new and old suppliers. Mr Worsnop-Hesford said, “We’ve given our customers more choice by integrating new suppliers into our online business, customers can now book packages from different tour operators and often pay less than booking direct”.

It also claims to have seen stronger late-summer booking interest in Greece and Turkey while Egypt and the Canaries remained winter sun favourites.

“Looking ahead into 2015, Kosmar is in a stronger position to compete and grow market share as a result of the successful transformation so far. The dramatic rise in interest for summer 2015 is largely fuelled by choice, new destinations, new suppliers and predominantly price. We’re well underway with our final wave of the transformation which is really focusing on the service we deliver throughout every stage of a customer’s interaction with us. We’re also focusing on the technology side of our business, new mobile and tablet apps to meet the demand of our customers, in resort services and most notably a new loyalty scheme, myKosmar. We’re on track to complete the final wave of our transformation in July 2015”, Mr Worsnop-Hesford said.
