Washington to Washington: Alaska Airlines adds more nonstop flights to nation's capital

With the launch of Alaska's Dulles flight next spring, Alaska customers will have nonstop access to all three D.C.-area airports from Seattle, including Reagan National Airport and Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

SEATTLE – Getting to the nation’s capital from the Emerald City will be easier starting next spring when Alaska Airlines begins daily nonstop service to Dulles International Airport.

“We’re thrilled to give our customers more options for visiting the D.C. area, including the Dulles Technology Corridor,” said Joe Sprague, Alaska’s senior vice president of communications and external relations.

With the launch of Alaska’s Dulles flight next spring, Alaska customers will have nonstop access to all three D.C.-area airports from Seattle, including Reagan National Airport and Baltimore-Washington International Airport – more flights than any other carrier.

Alaska Airlines is also offering members of its Mileage Plan double miles on flights between Seattle and Dulles. To qualify, travelers must be members of Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan and register at alaskaair.com. Customers who have not yet joined Mileage Plan can enroll at no cost online.

“We are delighted to welcome Alaska Airlines back to Dulles International” said Airport Manager Chris Browne. “Alaska’s new service from Seattle to the nation’s capital gives the region’s travelers more choice in travel, expands our domestic routes and connects into the region’s international gateway at Dulles International.”
