WTAAA’s new logo represents a refreshing new look that encapsulates the global footprint that WTAAA represents.
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – The World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA) held its annual General Assembly and bi-annual Board meeting in San Diego, California, Oct 12-13, 2014 and selected a new executive committee, board and logo.
The following newly elected WTAAA Executive Committee will hold a two-year term:
- Chair – Mr Jayson Westbury (AFTA)
- Vice Chair – Mr Otto de Vries (ASATA)
- Treasurer – Mr David McCaig (ACTA)
The following newly elected WTAAA Board (Directors, Deputy Directors) will also hold a two- year-term:
- Australia (AFTA): Mr Jayson Westbury, Mr Dean Long
- Brazil (ABAV): Mr Antonio Azevedo, Mr Leonel Rossi
- Canada (ACTA): Mr David McCaig, Mrs Heather Craig-Peddie
- Europe (ECTAA): Mr Lars Thykier, Mr Michel de Blust
- India (TAFI): Mr Praveen Chugh, Mr Jayesh Tharani
- New Zealand (TAANZ): Mr Peter Barlow, Mr Andrew Olsen
- South Africa (ASATA) Mr Otto de Vries, Mrs Vanya Lessing
- SA (ASTA) Mr Zane Kerby, Mr John Pittman
WTAAA’s new logo represents a refreshing new look that encapsulates the global footprint that WTAAA represents.
“Our fresh new logo better communicates what the World Travel Agents Associations Alliance stands for,” said WTAAA Chair Jayson Westbury. “We’re a forward-thinking global organization with a commitment to promote and grow the travel agency distribution channel.”
WTAAA meets twice a year to discuss issues that impact the global travel agency industry, and to share common problem-solving strategies.
WTAAA’s agenda included discussions on the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) New Distribution Capability (NDC), Airline Debit Memos (ADM) and various other industry issues.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
