Simply Sweden joins AITO and reveals winter adventures for 2015

Specialist tour operator launches print and online brochure.

SWEDEN – Simply Sweden, the specialist tour operator to Sweden and Norway, has joined the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO).

The prestigious organisation represents more than 120 of Britain’s best independent holiday companies, all of which deliver top-quality personalised advice and first-hand experience to customers.

Chris Graham, of Simply Sweden, said: “We are delighted to have been accepted into membership of AITO. The organisation sets the bar very high for customer satisfaction – across choice, quality and service. We pride ourselves on our small team’s in-depth knowledge of the destinations we serve, and the personal, informed service we offer. These principles go to the heart of every holiday we create.”

Simply Sweden has also launched a new print and online brochure showcasing its winter holidays for the 2014/15 season. The beautifully designed, well-written brochure has been created as a handy showcase for its tailor-made collection in response to its growing collaboration with the travel trade.

More an inspirational magazine than a sales brochure, it has a clear layout and superb images, and is packed with all the vital facts about tour itineraries, transport, accommodation and excursions, as well as practical insights about the climate and what clothing to pack. Print brochures can be ordered direct from Simply Sweden, while the online version can be viewed via the home page of the tour operator’s dedicated winter holidays website simplynorthernlights.co.uk.

Chris Graham, of Simply Sweden, said: “The travel trade is becoming increasingly important to us. We can already see more sales being achieved by travel agents, year-on-year, in 2014. We wanted to acknowledge the importance of selling through the trade by producing this really useful and attractive brochure. We believe it underlines the high quality of our product and provides an easy way for travel agents to appreciate in depth all that we offer and show our product in a very attractive way to potential customers.”

Simply Sweden’s winter collection features a mixture of trips in Sweden and Norway, designed to suit all tastes and make the most of the Arctic landscape and the aurora borealis, which is expected to reach a cyclical peak this winter.

New holidays for 2014-15 include Laponian Arctic Nights, viewing the ethereal Northern Lights while exploring Sweden’s Sami territories, one of the last untouched wildernesses according to Unesco. The Iron Trail – Lapland follows the old iron ore trade route to add a historic twist to a holiday in Sweden that visits the Aurora Safari Camp and Treehotel. And Icehotel & Northern Lights Cabins is one of four holidays celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Icehotel.

A trip to the centuries-old Sami winter gathering, the Jokkmokk Market, has been added, too. There are just 10 places available on Jokkmokk Winter Market 2015 – one of just a few fully escorted tours run by Simply Sweden – which takes place from 4 to 9 February 2015.

Small & Personal, which explores the very top of Norway during the lights show, now offers guests the chance to hop about the area on flights that the locals treat like buses, to gain spectacular aerial views of the landscape. Just metres from Norway’s border with Russia, the Sollia Guest House, which has hosted global leaders and royalty, has been added to an adventure in this fjordal landscape titled Around the North Cape. While Northern Lights Corridor now crosses the borders of Norway and Sweden to visit Tromso, the remote Swedish mountains and the traditional village of Sorbyn.
