$15 million renovation completed at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas

New Gold Tower design concept includes spacious interior, warm color palette and modern design elements.

LAS VEGAS – Enhanced guest comfort and an updated look have arrived at the Gold Tower at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. A complete renovation on the guest rooms began Aug. 3, 2014.

462 rooms spanning floors one through fifteen received the upgraded look with all new furnishings in a rich brown and gold color palette and modern design elements consistent with the upscale Rush Tower. Designed by Landry’s, Inc., the redesigned tower offers the ultimate in guest comfort and continues to provide the most luxurious experience on the Fremont Street Experience.

“We are committed to constantly maintaining the highest standards when it comes to our property,” said Lauren Westerfield, Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. “With these renovations we are ensuring that we are positioned as the most upscale resort in downtown Las Vegas while remaining an affordable option as well.”

Ensuring that guests wake up feeling refreshed, each of the redesigned rooms features a premium Serta mattress set designed exclusively for the Golden Nugget. Additional highlights include comfortable lounge seating, a high-definition 42-inch flat screen television, granite night stands and modern artwork. Each room contains new energy efficient LED lighting and Energy Star air conditioning units.

To create more space in both the entryway and the bathroom, the swinging bathroom door has been replaced with a sliding door. New granite countertops and tile were added to the bathroom, as well as a new sliding shower door. The Gold Tower was opened in 1977 as the hotel’s first tower with guest rooms and was most recently renovated in 2008.
