Russian culture celebrated in style

Themed Russia Centres to appear on key streets worldwide.

LONDON – People who may not have enough time to visit Russia, but would like to know more about the Russian culture and way of life will soon be able to visit and enjoy specifically designed and uniquely presented complexes across the world.

A large-scale project is on its way to develop a cluster of Russia Centres in major cities globally. The multi-storey centres will be located on key streets and developed in stages over a period of 5 years. The project is backed by a group of Russian investors who prefer not to be identified because the information is private.

“Each complex will bring its visitors to the whole new Russia experience. The decision on the project has been made and 2015 will be a year of final research and planning. More key decisions will be made this year in terms of the exact locations as well as the number and size of individual centres. More key partnerships will be put in place. The first centres are most likely to appear in China, India, the Middle East and Latin America. The European flagship venue will be developed in London,” said a person close to the project.

It is believed that the taste of Russia experienced during a visit to a Russia Centre will encourage people to learn more about Russia and as a result inspire more actual visits to the country. In addition, it is envisaged that the centres will provide an excellent home-like environment for respective Russian communities worldwide.

“Russia is a very large and complex country and we must provide as many people as possible around the world with an opportunity to learn more about our country, its culture, its traditions and also about the opportunities that Russia presents to the world. People visiting our centres will inevitably start to better understand the Russian soul and heart. We are very excited to be working on this project. We think that a project like this is long overdue and that we have all it takes to successfully deliver it,” said a member of the consortium behind the project.
