Hospitality heats up local recommendations and SMS mobile communication with travelers

Dolce Hotels and Resorts is the latest hospitality company in 2015 to aggressively make sweeping changes with new technology, leveraging mobile and SMS to communicate with guests and provide check-out services.

OKLAHOMA CITY and ROCKLEIGH, N.J. – Dolce Hotels and Resorts, operator of 26 luxury hotels, resorts and conference hotels across North America and Europe, announces a new partnership with hospitality technology provider, Monscierge. Dolce will roll out the Monscierge Connect product line to all of their properties. Phase one includes three hotels in the US and one in Europe launching a mobile platform to connect with their guests throughout their entire journey.

“We connect travelers to information and local recommendations throughout the entire guest journey. Intelligent tools for hotels and travelers make communication between them easy and attainable, and is what travelers expect. Dolce has a team of technology-savvy industry leaders always looking to better their guests’ experience”, said Klent Luschen, Guest Experience Advisor, Monscierge.

Dolce is launching Monscierge’s Content Management System (CMS) platform at The Alexander Hotel in Indianapolis in February of 2015. The technology will give them the ability to manage digital guest check-in/out, contextual and welcome SMS messaging, a mobile request platform, a mobile booking app, lobby touch-screen devices, and a suite of other guest-centric travel tools all powered through one convenient source. Monscierge Connect CMS is also the only content management system available in the industry that can control and manage several of these technology pieces from one centralized point.

“For all our guest-facing technology, we strive for powerful solutions that are easy to use.  We believe we found this with Monscierge Connect system. The mobile application and SMS communication will enable us to respond faster to our in-stay guest requests.  Moreover, by enabling check-out in the palm of their hand, we can create a seamless check-out experience for every traveler”, says  John Edwards, V.P. of IT, Dolce Hotels and Resorts.

John Edwards is a participant on the advisory board for the Cornell and Monscierge roundtable project on mobile innovations in hospitality. The first installment of this Intel sponsored project will be released at the end of February 2015.
