Frontier Airlines continues rapid expansion at MIA with new daily service to Atlanta

The new nonstop Miami-Atlanta service will utilize the carrier’s Airbus A319 aircraft.

MIAMI – Denver-based low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines continues its rapid expansion at Miami International Airport with plans announced last week to add daily service between MIA and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport starting March 6 – the airline’s sixth new route at MIA.

The announcement follows Frontier’s launch into the Miami market last month with 10 weekly flights to Denver, daily service to Philadelphia and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, twice-daily flights to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, and twice-weekly service to Washington Dulles International Airport, for a total of 47 weekly flights when the Atlanta service begins.

“We’re thrilled that Frontier continues to expand its service from MIA to popular metropolitan cities across the nation,” said Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. Gonzalez. “The addition of Frontier’s service to Atlanta is yet another appealing travel option for our customers and brings greater diversity to our connections with the U.S. and the world.”
