LateRooms.com releases hotel sex survey and new website in time for Valentine's Day

The company's survey revealed that 86% of the 2,000 Britons polled book up to four weekend stays in hotels per year, using them to strengthen their relationships. Research coincides with the launch of new booking website TitillateRooms.com.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – In new national research by LateRooms.com, British adults reveal that they are more likely to have sex when they stay in a hotel than at home. An overwhelming 66% of adults believe that they are certain to have sex when they check into a hotel for a weekend stay, according to the study by leading hotel bookers LateRooms.com.

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, and tying in with global anticipation for the movie 50 Shades of Grey, LateRooms.com has created TitillateRooms.com – a collection of the most romantic, titillating hotel rooms on Earth.

The company’s survey revealed that 86% of the 2,000 Britons polled book up to four weekend stays in hotels per year, using them to strengthen their relationships.

Staying in a hotel improves the chances of getting intimate for most British couples – on average British couples have sex 1.94 times per weekend while staying at home, but that figure jumps to an average of 2.74 when staying in a hotel.

Nine out of ten British couples admit that they are certain to have sex while staying in a hotel on Valentine’s Day.

LateRooms.com spokesperson Andrea Tarpey said: “Hotel breaks provide a perfect escape from the routine of daily life, and they certainly seem to have an energizing effect on the nation’s libido, with 53% of Brits admitting the allure of a hotel room makes them more sexually confident.

“To celebrate that – and with Valentine’s Day and the release of 50 Shades of Grey on the horizon – we wanted to bring our customers a selection of the sexiest hotels on the planet. We’ve launched TitillateRooms.com to do just this, providing a playful alternative to your traditional romantic Valentine’s hotel stays.”

The research answered the question of who in the UK has the most hotel sex: according to the survey, it’s those living in London.

The survey also revealed that fashion and graphic designers have more hotel room sex than any other profession, while professional sportspeople have the least sex.
