New COTRI Country Partner for Italy

Orientalia Lab helps Italian tourism companies and organisations to work with the Chinese outbound tourism market.

HAMBURG – Italy is famous worldwide as a tourist destination and offers exciting and beautiful locations even beyond the ‘Eternal city’ of Rome. Chinese tourists are responsible for a massive 35% of all sales of luxury items in Italy and local service providers are looking to arrange and improve their products for what is now the largest source market in the world for outbound tourism.

To meet the demand for training, research and consultancy in the region, COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute has teamed up with Orientalia Lab to provide services to enrich the local tourism industry with expert knowledge in welcoming Chinese tourists.

The founder of Orientalia Lab, Mrs. Antonella Decandia, is an expert in the topics of both China and tourism since the 1980s and has collaborated with leading Italian tour operators. Therefore Mrs. Decandia, Orientalia Lab and COTRI are expecting a successful working relationship in order to bring CTW Chinese Tourist Welcome Training, market research, bespoke research projects and expert consulting for those looking to initiate, maintain and expand business in regards to Chinese outbound tourism. Orientalia Lab and COTRI kicked off by offering a China outbound workshop to almost 100 participants during the BIT fair 2015 in Milano last week.

COTRI now has 23 COTRI Country Partners on all continents which are constantly providing their expertise to improve local service providers.
