Business Travel Direct first TMC to offer complete Concur solution portfolio

Identified as a Preferred Partner of Concur at GBTA last year, Business Travel Direct’s move to integrate Concur’ s product portfolio future proofs it against any changes within the industry.

LONDON – Concur announced that Business Travel Direct is the first of its partners in Europe to adopt Concur’s full suite of technology products. The move demonstrates the TMC’s commitment to offering customers the very latest technology solutions designed to deliver cost savings, greater efficiency and the improved management of information.

Customers of Business Travel Direct will now have access to Concur TripLink, a product that captures and centralises data giving companies a complete  picture of employee spend while travelling for business. TripLink captures reservations booked outside a corporate travel system meaning companies can manage more data allowing for cost savings and increased compliance and control.

Business Travel Direct will also provide customers with access to TripIt Pro, a traveller friendly app that manages loyalty cards and shares itinerary information with a pre-selected network.

Completing the product suite is TMC Messaging which enables companies to monitor traveller’s locations (from live travel schedules) and trigger security warnings and advice. The solution also communicates flight changes, weather problems or other unlikely events to impact schedules. TMC Messaging can be customised to suit each client’s specific requirements.

Identified as a Preferred Partner of Concur at GBTA last year, Business Travel Direct’s move to integrate Concur’ s product portfolio future proofs it against any changes within the industry.

“The role of the TMC is changing and we need to be constantly reassessing the value we provide customers. In the future, our relationships with customers will not be purely transactional. We may be asked to manage risk, capture and analyse data or provide consultancy services; Concur’s product suite helps us and our customers do just this,” said Julie Oliver, Managing Director, Business Travel Direct. “We’re excited to extend our working relationship with Concur to expand the choice of technology we offer clients.”

Portman, also part of Concur’s Preferred Partner Programme, will soon be incorporating digital solutions within its core customer offering, demonstrating its commitment to the future of smart business travel.

“Every day we see managed travel working well for our partners and TMCs. What we don’t see working well is unmanaged travel; it continues to create challenges for our customers because it’s eroding valuable data,” said Scott Torrey, Executive Vice President, Concur. “We want to help companies drive bookings back into their systems, improve data capture, streamline processes, have better control of budgets and enhance risk management. Business Travel Direct and Portman share Concur’s vision to provide employees with the perfect business trip. We’re looking forward to getting more TMCs on board.”
