La Manga Club appoints Triggerfish to raise profile

La Manga Club is nestled on 1,400 acres which sits between the low hills that separate the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor Sea in Murcia, south-east Spain.

Spain’s La Manga Club, one of Europe’s major sporting and holiday destinations, has appointed PR agency Triggerfish Communications to increase awareness of its B2B offering in the UK and Ireland.

Triggerfish will work with the award-winning resort’s sales manager for the UK & Ireland, Joaquim Fernandes, to implement a comprehensive MICE representation programme.

Comprising a five-star hotel (Hotel Principe Felipe), a four star village (Villa Las Lomas ), 170 luxury vacation apartments and two dedicated meeting, banqueting and event spaces for up to 400 guests each, La Manga Club is nestled on 1,400 acres which sits between the low hills that separate the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor Sea in Murcia, south-east Spain.

Jose Asenjo Vera, La Manga Club’s general manager said: “Triggerfish’s deep industry knowledge and expertise in the sector makes them the ideal partner for us, as we continue to grow our profile with both consumer and business audiences in the UK and Ireland. We are looking forward to working with their team and putting the agency’s strengths and industry contacts to work for our property.”

Andrew White, managing director at Triggerfish, said: “We are extremely excited to be working with La Manga Club. The destination already has an excellent reputation within the consumer market, so one of our objectives is to widen its scope by encouraging corporates, agencies, associations and private meeting and event planners to use the facilities which include three championship golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre, eight grass sports pitches, 25m indoor swimming pool, 2,000m2 spa, and more than 20 restaurants and bars.”

Triggerfish Communications represents a collection of prominent clients including Lord’s Cricket Ground, Center Parcs, Keith Prowse, Somerset House and Levy Restaurants UK.
