Telluride doubles down on summer destination flights

New flights from LAX and ORD, plus major IAH increase.

TELLURIDE, COLO. – Coming off of a record 2014 summer season, Telluride is doubling its destination access for summer 2015 with new flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and Chicago (ORD), along with a major jump in service from Houston (IAH), to Telluride/Montrose (MTJ). Daily and multiple daily flights from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Denver (DEN) will also continue.

Starting June 15, Allegiant will carry its successful LAX-MTJ winter service into the summer season. Flights will run on Fridays and Mondays through August 17.

Adding to the historic twice-weekly IAH United* flights from June 5 – September 2, IAH-MTJ service will now ramp up to daily from July 2 – August 17.

Coming off a strong winter, United will also continue ORD-MTJ flights for the heart of the summer, running on Saturdays from July 4 – August 15.

American flights between DFW and MTJ will continue to operate daily from June 4 – August 17. United’s DEN-MTJ flights run up to five times daily during the summer.

“With summer demand continuing to increase at a record pace, we are thrilled to offer such a significant jump in air service for summer 2015,” said Colorado Flights COO Matt Skinner. “The new and increased hub markets, as well as a low cost option, create fantastic ease of access for both our guests across the country and our regional residents.”

“The added flights will give us the opportunity to improve on the previous four consecutive record-breaking summers and benefit the overall economic performance of the destination,” said Michael Martelon, CEO of the Telluride Tourism Board.
