Barata Hotels select GuestCentric for multi-device website and booking engine

New website and booking engine enables the resorts group to maximize brand awareness and drive direct reservations for its six properties.

NEW YORK, NY – GuestCentric, the leading provider of cloud-based digital marketing software for hotels, announced that Barata Hotels, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Algarve, have selected GuestCentric’s cloud-based digital marketing software for all their 6 resorts. Barata Hotels’ new website and booking engine will help the resorts group drive brand exposure and increase direct bookings, thus, decreasing Barata’s dependency on booking intermediaries.

Established in 1974, Barata Hotels is one of the leading family-owned resort groups in Portugal. The resort group boasts five exclusive properties in Algarve, and one in the Alentejo.

“We chose GuestCentric after evaluating all other options in the market – and GuestCentric came clearly on top in terms of design, technology and service”, said Fernando Duque, Revenue Manager Director at Barata Hotels. “In just a few weeks of deployment, we can already see how powerful GuestCentric is, with a significant boost to our brand and direct bookings”.

The responsive design of Barata Hotels’ new website and booking engine enables them to provide their guests with a unique shopping experience across desktops and hundreds of mobile devices, assuring that no reservation is lost. Along with these features, the resorts group also gained access to an easy-to-use content management system and extensive reporting and analytics, that enable the hotels’ management to quickly react to demand changes based on market data.

“We are thrilled to have been selected by Barata Hotels with our all-in-one digital marketing platform”, said Pedro Colaco, CEO of GuestCentric. “With GuestCentric’s solution, Barata Hotels will be able to defend their brand online and convert website traffic into direct reservations, by providing their guests the best booking experience through all online channels”.

JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group represented the seller, 30 Whalley Avenue Associates, in the transaction.
