Thomas Cook says EU summer holiday booking improve, European EHIC Services Ltd. reports

Rival holiday provider TUI, owners of Thomson and First Choice have also reported improved sales, saying that summer 2015 bookings were on the up.

Holiday maker Thomas Cook says the sun is shining on European holiday bookings, an improvement from their gloomy records seen earlier in the year. A spokesperson for European EHIC Services Ltd. comments on the report.

Thomas Cook revealed the news that continental and North Europe summer holiday trading had seen a vast improvement during their half-year trading update last month. The firm’s new Chief Executive, Peter Fankhauser was on hand to tell investors that their winter holidays were developing extremely well too, with almost 95 per cent of European winter holiday packages already sold. At the time of Fankhauser’s report, at least 54 per cent of summer holidays had been sold, and those remaining were selling quickly. He commented on the boost in sales, saying “We continue to expect further growth in FY15, consistent with our expectations at our full year results in November.”

Rival holiday provider TUI, owners of Thomson and First Choice have also reported improved sales, saying that summer 2015 bookings were on the up. European EHIC Services Ltd., a provider of European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) in the UK takes a firm interest in stories such as this. A spokesperson for the company provided the following statement. “It’s great to see that European summer holiday bookings are on the rise once again. When the summer comes people up and down the country will be jetting off to even warmer climates, as has become British tradition.

It’s important to remember when booking a holiday abroad that you need to take out proper insurance. Nobody wants to think about accidents while on holiday, but they do happen, and you need to be prepared should the worst happen to you. While travelling in the EU, an EHIC will provide you with all of the same healthcare benefits the locals enjoy, all at free or greatly reduced prices. With summer just around the corner, make sure you don’t forget your EHIC.”

Europe EHIC Services Limited helps people travelling to Europe with attaining a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), freely available from the NHS. European EHIC Services Limited assists in completing your application for an EHIC, ensuring that there are no errors or missing elements within the application. The card can only be used within the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
