More than 40 international companies take part in the 5th B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan

This year more than 1,120 meetings were organized over a 2 day period between international participants and local travel companies from Baku and Almaty during this year’s B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop.

The annual B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop was successfully held in Baku (Azerbaijan) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) from April 14-16th, 2015. The workshop brought together more than 120 local travel companies from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and more than 40 international participants from the luxury retail and hotel sector, as well as national and regional tourism boards and DMCs. The event was organized by TMI Consultancy and their local partners.

This year more than 1,120 meetings were organized over a 2 day period between international participants and local travel companies from Baku and Almaty during this year’s B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop. International participants came from across Europe including participants from: France, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Cyprus. There were also for the first time participants from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and the Seychelles. Spain had a large presence including the participation of: Turespaña, Barcelona Tourism, Costa del Sol, Catalonia, Villa Magna Hotel, Terramar Group, Viajes Ancodes, and El Corte Ingles.

B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop was proud to have Costa del Sol Tourism Board as the General workshop sponsor, whilst the Switzerland Tourism provided participants with a dazzling Gala Cocktail evening after the workshop.

There was a strong delegation from Switzerland, with more than 15 participants led by the Switzerland Tourism, as well as regions such as Geneva as well as a number of outstanding luxury hotels such as the Victoria-Jungfrau Collection, the Kempinski St Moritz, the Park Hotel Vitznau and the Chedi Andermatt. There were also a number of famous clinics and a Swiss education adviser.

In 2015 for the first time B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop hosted a guest speaker, Andrew Pyner, he gave an inspiring  presentation about the development of online travel  and informed local companies could  they can enhance and monetize the own websites.

The dynamic workshop programme included pre-scheduled appointments and the presentation on the trends and key statistic on the Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan outbound travel markets, which was presented by TMI ‘s Director,  Helene Lloyd.

B2B Luxury& MICE Workshop is an annual event that takes place in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The provisional dates for 2016 are April 12 in Baku and April 14 in Almaty. There is a special ‘Early Bird’ offer available for 2016, for the special extra value rate of 2,500 Euro for participation in both workshops valid until July 1st, 2015.
