Corporate housing site for government travel announces new platform

TDY Lodging now offers a new flat rate for government and military temporary housing providers.

WASHINGTON – TDY Lodging now offers a flat rate for companies listing their furnished rentals on the government travel platform. Corporate housing providers including hotel owners and real estate managers can now pay a small monthly rate to be connected directly with military and government travelers seeking temporary lodging at furnished apartments and corporate housing locations worldwide.

TDY Lodging is part of the Defense Lodging network which offers more than 100 locations for military and government travelers to choose from within the United States and overseas. Steve Howard, Co-Founder of TDY Lodging, announced, “Our platform now allows property managers to list a rental or hotel property on a month-to-month basis on the site instead of paying for an annual listing. This will not only save property managers money, but it also ensures that rental listings on the site stay updated, and our overall listing quality will remain strong.”

The hotel and corporate housing industry is affected by the annual Department of Defense per diem rates for travel, and the soon-to-be-released 2016 GSA Per Diem Rates will affect the hotel and hospitality industry near military installations and cities worldwide. The government per diem rate has remained flat for the past 3 years, TDY Lodging estimates that in 2016 Per Diem Rates will increase by roughly 2.1% to keep up with inflation as the economy has started to rebound.
