Courtyard Boston Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts completes multi-million dollar revitalization project

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Marriott International, Inc. announces a fresh chapter in the life of Courtyard Boston Cambridge. The iconic hotel located at 777 Memorial Drive is pleased to unveil its new look after a multi-million dollar transformation that includes extensive renovations to the guest rooms, guest bathrooms, corridors and meeting rooms plus a brand new lobby and dining area. The 207-room Courtyard Boston Cambridge operates as a Marriott franchise and is managed by Highgate Hotels.

This 16-story brick, high-rise building is perfectly situated on the banks of the historic Charles River and is surrounded by fabulous views of the river and the Boston skyline. Located only minutes from downtown Boston, the hotel is steps from Harvard University and convenient to MIT, Boston University, world-renowned hospitals, Fenway Park and historic Boston’s best attractions, restaurants and nightlife.

“The revitalization of this hotel gives loyal Marriott guests a newly transformed option in the heart of Cambridge,” said Rob Rosenblatt, general manager, Courtyard Boston Cambridge. “Our prime location with views of the Charles River is close to many corporate offices, universities and downtown Boston.”

The hotel’s recent revitalization program presents a complete transformation of all of the hotel’s modern guestrooms. Brand-new wall coverings, window treatments, carpet, seating and decorative light fixtures have been installed and each room is now quipped with new heating and air-condition units plus wall-mounted 40-inch HDTV’s. Sharp, contemporary design elements have been incorporated including headboards with a sophisticated design of Cambridge centered on the Charles River, are a new highlight. Rejuvenated guest bathrooms include new vanities, tile, plumbing, fixtures, bath accessories and lighting.

The new, modern lobby has been completely redesigned. A signature element of the new state-of-the-art lobby is the exclusive GoBoard® technology, a 55-inch LCD touch screen packed with local information, maps, weather, and news, business and sports headlines. Guests can navigate using the touch screen to find restaurants, local attractions and directions. Guests can connect to free WiFi and there are ample electrical outlets throughout the lobby to power digital devices. The complimentary business library features two computer terminals, open ports for personal laptops and a print station.

Dining has been completely redesigned with The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. which offers casual, flexible seating. Located on the second floor, The Bistro is brand new and provides visitors with easier access to food and higher quality, healthier menu options for breakfast and dinner, including cocktails in the evening so guests can unwind. The Bistro also serves Starbucksa coffee. Flexible seating options range from a communal table in the middle of the action, to more private media booths with high-definition televisions, to a more intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area. For guests looking for an alternate option, Bisuteki Tokyo is the restaurant located in the hotel lobby which serves authentic Japanese teppanyaki-style cooking and handcrafted sushi; Bisuteki also has a full-service cocktail lounge.

Suitable for hosting events for up to 320 people, the Courtyard Boston Cambridge has also upgraded its 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. The newly revitalized function space includes the 2,600 square foot Waterfront Ballroom, conveniently located on the third floor, with sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Charles River. Additional meeting rooms are located within the first and second floors, all featuring windows with natural lighting.

Other onsite amenities at the Courtyard Boston Cambridge include a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool spa, guest laundry, business center and The MarketO, a 24/7 shop for snacks and beverages.
