The best hotels for families in 2015

Family Vacation Critic names best hotels for families, based on consumer and expert ratings.

EWING, N.J. – Family Vacation Critic, TripAdvisor‘s family travel site, has announced the winners of its second annual Family Vacation Critic Favorite Hotels Awards – representing the top family-tested, family-approved hotels. Award recipients have all been personally vetted by Family Vacation Critic’s team of experts, and have also received high ratings from family travelers.

“These winners represent hotels that truly excel as family-friendly properties,” explains Lissa Poirot, editor-in-chief of Family Vacation Critic. “Because awards are only given to hotels that receive a high rating from both our team of experts and family travelers who have stayed at the property, the Family Vacation Critic Favorite Hotels designation offers parents a credible stamp of approval to use when searching for the perfect hotel for their family.”

In order to be designated a Family Vacation Critic Favorite, hotels had to meet the following criteria:

  • Hotel must have been personally vetted and visited by a member of Family Vacation Critic’s team of hotel experts, and receive either a four- or five-star editorial rating.
  • Hotel must have been recommended by 75% or more families who have reviewed the property, with a four- or five-star review rating.

More than 500 hotels were named as Family Vacation Critic Favorites – representing the top 12% of hotels on the site.
